🌍 Can Sneakers Plant Trees? PlanetHike Unites 50+ Cities for Global 10,000-Step Climate Walk
Tallin, [01-07-2025] — Can a pair of sneakers and a simple white T-shirt help heal the planet? On September 14, thousands of people in more than 50 cities worldwide will lace up for PlanetHike10000 — a global 10,000-step walk turning everyday steps into forests, clean water, and community street art.
PlanetHike was founded by climate advocate Tichi, who asked a simple question: What if our daily steps could restore the earth? The answer became a growing, grassroots movement where walkers take action not only for forests, but for everything they love and want to protect.
“PlanetHike10000 is climate action made personal,” says Tichi, Founder of PlanetHike. “We’re transforming sneakers and white T-shirts into symbols of change — and every step is a statement for the future.”
Walkers are invited to join official 10KM city walks or take part from anywhere in the world by completing 10,000 steps in their neighborhood. Each participant writes their personal message — “I Walk For ___” — directly on their white T-shirt, sharing their why with their community and the world.

PlanetHike works with local ambassadors, student networks, and community leaders to make the global walk accessible, joyful, and visible in streets, parks, and trails around the world.
Registration is open now for city walks and the PlanetHike10000 Challenge. Official “I Walk For ___” T-shirts are available in the PlanetHike shop, with proceeds directly supporting reforestation, clean water, and street art initiatives in communities that need them most.
