PlanetHike Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and PlanetHike OÜ, a company registered in Tallinn, Estonia, governing your use of the PlanetHike website, platform, events, and all associated services. By accessing the platform, creating an account, or participating in any PlanetHike event, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

“PlanetHike”, “we”, “us”, “our” refers to PlanetHike OÜ.”User”, “you”, “participant” refers to any person or organization using the platform or taking part in PlanetHike activities.”Service” means the website, events, programs, challenges, content, system functions, and all related features.”Event Window” means the official time period during which steps may be submitted.”RegreenityCoins” or “Coins” refers to earned, non-financial digital impact records.”Team Impact Plan” refers to organizational participation programs.

2. Eligibility

PlanetHike is open globally to individuals, families, groups, organizations, companies, and schools. You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to participate. Organizations registering teams confirm they have appropriate authority to do so.

3. Accounts and User Responsibilities

Users must provide accurate, complete information when creating accounts or submitting registration forms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for all activities under your account. PlanetHike reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Participation

Participation in PlanetHike events is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk. You are responsible for ensuring fitness and choosing safe walking routes. Schools must ensure adequate supervision and obtain necessary consents for minors.

5. Step Submission & Verification

Steps must be submitted within the designated Event Windows. All submissions must reflect authentic, real-world walking activity. PlanetHike may conduct verification through screenshot requests, timestamps, or activity exports. Submissions deemed fraudulent, inconsistent, or unverifiable may result in disqualification, loss of Coins, and account suspension.

6. RegreenityCoins

RegreenityCoins are earned through verified action only and cannot be purchased or traded as financial assets. Coins carry no monetary value and do not function as an investment, currency, or security.

1 Coin = 1 tree planted by PlanetHike.

Coins may become eligible for transfer or trade beginning in 2029, subject to future platform rules.

Users may optionally “boost” a Coin by funding additional trees, up to 1,000 per Coin.PlanetHike reserves the right to revoke Coins earned through fraudulent or invalid activity.

7. Tree Planting

PlanetHike commits to planting one tree for every Coin earned. Planting locations, timelines, and partner organizations may vary based on ecological and operational conditions. Tree planting may not occur immediately following Coin issuance, as it depends on seasonal and logistical factors.

8. Team Impact Plan (Organizations)

Organizations participating through the Team Impact Plan must provide estimated participant numbers and pay upfront. A Team Code is issued for employees or students to register at no cost. If actual participation exceeds the estimate, PlanetHike may invoice for additional participants. Lower-than-expected participation does not reduce the original payment. Organizations may receive participation summaries and aggregated impact reporting suitable for ESG documentation.

9. Payments & Refunds

All payments are final. Registration fees support operational costs, environmental commitments, and tree‑planting activities. Refunds are only issued for duplicate transactions or billing errors. Merchandise cannot be refunded once production or shipping begins.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the PlanetHike platform—including text, graphics, logos, images, materials, and software—is owned by PlanetHike OÜ or its partners and protected by copyright and trademark laws. Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without explicit written permission.

11. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Submit fraudulent or artificially manipulated step data.
• Misuse, share, or resell Team Codes, referral codes, or access credentials.
• Interfere with or disrupt platform functionality.
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the system.
• Post abusive, harmful, or inappropriate content.

Violation may result in suspension or permanent removal.

12. Service Availability

PlanetHike strives to maintain consistent platform availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Downtime may occur due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or factors beyond our control. PlanetHike is not liable for any impact resulting from service interruptions.

13. Liability

PlanetHike is not liable for injuries, accidents, health conditions, damages, or losses arising from participation in events. Users understand and accept the inherent risks of outdoor physical activity. PlanetHike is not responsible for delays or failures caused by third‑party partners, environmental conditions, logistics, or force majeure events.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlanetHike OÜ, its directors, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the platform.

15. Termination

PlanetHike may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion, including for fraudulent activity, breach of Terms, or misuse of the platform. Users may request voluntary account deletion at any time.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Any disputes arising from or relating to the platform shall be resolved through negotiation, and if necessary, through the jurisdiction of Estonian courts unless otherwise required by consumer protection laws.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the full agreement between you and PlanetHike OÜ regarding the use of the platform and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.

19. Modifications

PlanetHike may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the website or email. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
